An NFC (Near Field Communication) or QR Code business card is a modern business card that uses NFC or QR Code technology to transfer information wirelessly.
This technology enables you to exchange business data quickly and securely by simply connecting the card to a smartphone or other NFC-compatible device.
Unlike traditional cards, a contactless card can hold a greater volume of information, such as your contact details, link to your business website, portfolio, social networks and much more.
What's more, the information can be updated without having to reprint the card, making it an ecological and economical option. All the recipient has to do is hold the card up to their device and the information is displayed, making it easy to share and remember your contact details.
Using an NFC business card is quite simple and involves just a few steps:
-
Activating NFC:
- Make sure that NFC is enabled on the smartphone of the person with whom you wish to share your card. On most devices, you can activate NFC in the settings, often under "Wireless connections" or a similar heading.
-
Sharing your information:
- Bring the NFC business card close to the back of the smartphone, where the NFC reader is located (the exact position may vary from device to device).
- A notification will appear on the smartphone screen indicating that an NFC tag has been detected.
- By clicking on this notification, the information stored in the business card will be displayed. This could be a contact profile, a website, a portfolio, or any other form of digital content you've chosen to link to your card.
-
Update your information:
- If you need to update the information on your NFC business card, log on to the nfcapp.fr platform.
- Modify the desired information in your online profile. The changes will be automatically applied, and anyone scanning your NFC business card afterwards will see the new information.
-
Card reuse:
- An NFC business card can be used indefinitely. You don't need to hand out new cards every time you update your information, making it a sustainable and environmentally-friendly option.
It's important to note that the NFC business card is compatible with most recent smartphones, but not necessarily with older models or certain devices without NFC capability. It is then possible to transmit your contact details to these people by inviting them to scan the QR Code present on your digital business card.
A business card with QR Code is a modern, interactive form of the traditional business card. It incorporates a QR Code (Quick Response Code), which is a type of two-dimensional barcode. This QR Code can be scanned using the camera of a smartphone or tablet, and leads to a variety of online information or actions.
The information on your connected business card is accessible via both the QR code and the NFC tag.
NFC is a short-range wireless communication technology that enables the exchange of information between two NFC-compatible devices located just a few centimeters apart. It is often used for contactless payments, file sharing and now, for modern business cards.
